Product Description:
The FC-202P1K5T2131N2210 is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. Designed for pump and fan control, the unit adjusts motor speed in response to changing flow or pressure demands in water and wastewater systems. This variable-speed operation can reduce energy consumption and limit mechanical stress on centrifugal pumps, fans, valves, and connected piping. Its control functions support automated process regulation without requiring the motor to run continuously at full speed.
The drive accepts a three-phase input of 200–240 VAC and produces a regulated motor output with switching frequencies up to 32 kHz for low-noise operation. Under continuous duty, it delivers 7.5 A and provides an apparent power output of 2.70 kVA. Conversion efficiency reaches 0.96, allowing most incoming electrical power to pass to the motor while rated-load heat dissipation remains at 82 W. The input section permits no more than two power-ups per minute to protect the precharge circuit and allow the DC bus capacitors to charge fully. A 500-ohm analog output supports process feedback, while digital inputs accept commands up to 28 V DC. The digital relay terminals can source 40 mA, providing additional connections for compatible control equipment.
The motor output rating is 2.0 HP, and the maximum input current is 6.8 A. The supply feeder requires a 20 A prefuse for overcurrent protection. Operation is permitted at ambient temperatures up to 50 °C, making the drive suitable for many non-air-conditioned equipment rooms when required installation clearances are maintained. Shielded motor cables may extend up to 150 m while maintaining the intended electromagnetic compatibility performance. Unshielded motor cables may extend to 300 m where the installation permits less restrictive electromagnetic compatibility conditions. Balanced three-phase operation helps the connected motor produce consistent torque, while the drive’s regulated output allows process demand to determine operating speed. Proper cable selection, supply protection, and ventilation are necessary to keep the power electronics within their permitted operating limits.
