Product Description:
The FC-202P18KT6134N2132 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss within the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. The unit converts fixed three-phase mains power into a variable-voltage, variable-frequency output that allows centrifugal pumps and blowers used in water treatment plants to run only as fast as process demand requires. By regulating motor speed instead of throttling flow with valves, it helps reduce energy consumption and mechanical wear. The adjustable output allows the drive to respond to changing flow and pressure demands without requiring continuous operation at full motor speed.
The drive can supply a continuous shaft power of 18.5 kW, which corresponds to 25 HP. Output frequency is adjustable up to 590 Hz, so high-speed induction motors can be accommodated when system pressure must ramp quickly. A full-load efficiency of 0.98 minimizes electrical losses inside the inverter, and the product carries an IE2 energy-efficiency classification. Internal control electronics can source up to 40 mA on each digital output, while the analog output can drive loads down to 500 Ω for remote instrumentation. The maximum prefuse rating is 50 A, allowing cabinet protection components to be sized for common industrial feeders.
The inverter runs without derating at ambient temperatures up to 50 °C and at elevations up to 1000 m. Operation is possible at elevations up to 3000 m when the output current is reduced. Incoming utility imbalance is tolerated up to 3.0%, helping the drive remain stable on lightly regulated rural networks. Its short-circuit rating reaches 100,000 A RMS, allowing use with high-capacity switchgear without additional current-limiting reactors. Motor leads can be routed up to 150 m when shielded or 300 m when unshielded. A limit of one power-up per minute protects the DC-link capacitors during frequent service cycles.
