Internal Product Review
The FC-202P18KT4131X9035 is a Danfoss VLT FC 202 AQUA Drive built for three-phase power on 380 - 480 VAC systems. The 18.5 kW rating and 0.98 efficiency give this unit excellent operating balance for energy-conscious process duty. A 32 kHz maximum digital output frequency further supports refined motor control, making this drive a strong option for AQUA applications.

Product Description:
The FC-202P18KT4131X9035 variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss within the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series and is intended for pump and fan duty in water-handling installations. The device modulates induction motor speed to match the real-time load, reducing energy use and pressure fluctuations in municipal treatment plants, irrigation stations, and distribution networks. Application-specific macros for cascade control, dry-run detection, and sleep mode are included so the drive can be adapted to centrifugal equipment without external PLC programming.
This model supplies up to 18.5 kW of output power, which corresponds to 25 HP. It connects to a three-phase mains supply ranging from 380–480 VAC and delivers a continuous output current of 37.5 A when operated between 380 and 440 V. At 460 V, the apparent power reaches 27.1 kVA, allowing full torque on standard NEMA or IEC motors. Overall drive efficiency is 0.98, so nearly all input power is transferred to the motor rather than lost as heat. Input current reaches 34 A in the lower voltage band and 31 A in the upper voltage band. These current values can be used when sizing supply conductors and overload relays.
An upstream fuse or circuit breaker rated at 63 A provides coordinated short-circuit protection for the converter. The inverter’s carrier frequency can be set as high as 32 kHz, improving acoustic performance and torque linearity on high-speed machines. Operation is permitted at ambient temperatures up to 50 °C and at elevations up to 1,000 m without derating. Shielded motor leads may extend up to 150 m, while unshielded leads may extend up to 300 m, providing routing flexibility in large pump halls. One programmable analog output is available for remote indications such as the flow setpoint or motor current.
