Product Description:
The FC-202P18KT4131X9033 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. It regulates induction motor speed in pumping and aeration systems used throughout water and wastewater treatment plants. By modulating output frequency and voltage, it allows motor torque to match real-time process demand, reducing energy consumption and hydraulic stress on pipelines. The drive also provides closed-loop protection against dry-run and surge conditions, helping pumps respond safely to changing flow requirements.
Its mains input accepts a three-phase supply within the 380–480 VAC range. The converter provides a nominal shaft power of 25 HP, equivalent to 18.5 kW, so centrifugal pumps can be started under load without a mechanical bypass. Its continuous motor current capability is 34 A, and a fused disconnect rated at 63 A isolates the drive when necessary. Overall conversion efficiency reaches 0.98, which minimizes thermal losses in sealed control rooms. The inverter delivers up to 480 VAC at the motor terminals, making it compatible with common IEC pump motors. The integrated enclosure carries an IP66 / NEMA 4X rating, allowing washdown cleaning and outdoor installation near chlorination basins. A graphical local control panel presents operating data and parameter menus, supporting adjustments without an external programming tool.
Electromagnetic compatibility is supported by the factory-installed EN/IEC 61800-3 Category 3 immunity package. The drive also has an emission rating of EN 55011 Class A2 for conducted and radiated electrical noise on public low-voltage networks. A built-in RFI filter designated H2 further attenuates common-mode currents, allowing the drive to operate near sensitive instrumentation cabling when proper routing and shielding practices are followed. Because no brake chopper is fitted, surplus kinetic energy must be dissipated by the motor load or suitable external braking equipment. The B1 enclosure size conserves panel depth while providing space for the integrated disconnect and control components. Local parameter access remains available when remote controls are unavailable, allowing operating values and pump-control settings to be viewed directly from the drive.
