Product Description:
The FC-202P15KT4131Z7236 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series and aligned with the VLT AQUA Drive product group. It is intended for centrifugal pumps and fans in municipal water plants, irrigation loops, and commercial HVAC systems where adjustable speed improves process stability and saves energy. By rectifying and inverting incoming AC power, the unit supplies a programmable frequency to the motor so automation systems can maintain the target flow or pressure without mechanical throttles.
Electrical capacity is sized for motors up to 15 kW, equivalent to 20 HP, and the inverter accepts three-phase 380–480 VAC mains power. Internal logic executes control tasks every 5 ms and then switches the insulated-gate bipolar transistors at carrier frequencies reaching 32 kHz to minimize acoustic noise. The analog reference channel supports loads down to 500 Ω, while the digital inputs tolerate 28 V DC signals from PLC cards. Each digital output can source 40 mA, which is adequate for driving indicator LEDs or solid-state relays. Shielded motor cable may extend up to 150 m, and unshielded cable runs are permitted up to 300 m, allowing the drive to be mounted remotely from submersible or rooftop equipment.
The drive delivers full current from 0 °C through 50 °C. It maintains nameplate power at elevations up to 1000 m and operates with automatic derating at elevations up to 3000 m. A noncondensing humidity limit of 95% helps prevent moisture-related tracking on the control boards. The power section can withstand a fault current of 100,000 A RMS, supporting coordination with high-capacity fuses or circuit breakers. During transient faults, the logic and gate drivers continue operating because the DC link rides through short line-voltage drops. The three-phase architecture distributes the electrical load symmetrically across the mains feeders.
