Product Description:
The FC-202P15KT4131B9004 is a variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. Within the VLT AQUA Drive product group, the 202 designation indicates control functions tailored for pump regulation, flow control, and other water-related applications. The unit converts fixed-frequency three-phase power into modulated voltage, allowing centrifugal or axial-flow motors to adjust their speed according to real-time system demand. When installed in a standard control panel, the drive can reduce energy consumption, limit valve throttling, and maintain stable pressure in treatment plants, irrigation stations, or industrial rinse systems without extensive mechanical changes.
Delivering a nominal output of 15 kW, the inverter supports motors rated at approximately 20 HP. Its power stage reaches an efficiency of 0.97, so only a small fraction of the input energy is dissipated as heat. The resulting power loss is rated at 62 W, which helps limit the thermal load inside the control panel. The drive supplies a continuous motor current of 4.1 A during operation on 380–440 V outputs. Its logic terminals accept 0–24 V DC digital commands and can return status pulses at frequencies up to 32 kHz for high-speed flow feedback and external monitoring.
The drive is compatible with 380–480 VAC three-phase line supplies, and its maximum input current for 380–440 V operation is 3.7 A. Power and ground conductors up to 4 mm² can be connected to the main terminals, while disconnect links can use 6 mm² wiring where required by local electrical codes. Motor leads can extend up to 150 m when shielded or 300 m when unshielded, allowing the drive to remain near the control equipment while pumps operate in remote wet wells. A system response time of ≤2 ms allows the controller to react quickly to setpoint changes and maintain suction pressure or tank level. Branch-circuit protection can be coordinated with a 10 A fuse to clear electrical faults while reducing unnecessary interruptions.
