The FC-202P15KT2131Z3002 is an AC drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. As a member of the VLT AQUA Drive product group, it modulates motor speed to match load demand in pumping, aeration, and filtration equipment used in industrial automation and water-handling processes. By adjusting output frequency rather than relying on throttling valves, the unit minimizes energy consumption while maintaining stable process flow. This method also allows the connected motor to respond to changes in system demand without continuous operation at full speed.
The inverter accepts a three-phase mains voltage of 200–240 VAC, making it suitable for low-voltage distribution systems. At the motor terminals, it can sustain a mechanical output of 20 HP. With a full-load efficiency of 0.96, the drive converts most input power into mechanical work while limiting internal heat generation. Under the normal overload profile, the input stage can draw 54.0 A, while the output section supplies 59.4 A to the motor windings. These current values support the selection of appropriate conductors and thermal protection devices. A line pre-fuse rated at 80 A is recommended to clear faults without causing unnecessary trips, and the power terminals accommodate conductors with cross-sectional areas up to 35 mm².
The electronics can operate at an ambient temperature of up to 50 °C without derating, and the conformal coating tolerates relative humidity of up to 95% without condensation. At rated load, the drive dissipates 602 W of heat, which must be removed through suitable enclosure ventilation. Motor feeder runs can use shielded cables up to 150 m long or unshielded cables up to 300 m long, allowing the drive to control remote motors from a centralized panel. High-resolution pulse-width modulation switching reaches 32 kHz, while command updates are processed every 5 ms. The digital outputs can sink up to 40 mA for compatible control devices. A USB 1.1 service port allows parameter files to be backed up or transferred without requiring a network connection.
