Product Description:
The FC-202N355T4135U5745 is a VLT AQUA Drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. With the 202 series identifier, it is intended for variable-torque loads such as centrifugal pumps and blowers found in municipal water treatment plants. By varying the frequency and voltage delivered to an induction motor, the drive maintains constant process variables while lowering energy consumption and extending equipment life in industrial automation settings.
The power section accepts 380 to 480 VAC from plant mains and is engineered for three-phase power, allowing it to energize motors up to 355 kW without derating. Excess kinetic energy produced during rapid deceleration is redirected to an external brake resistor rated at 32.000 kW. The resistor is wired through a dedicated 2 × 35 mm² brake cable and can operate with a 10% duty cycle. Its resistance must not fall below 1.2 Ω, while the nominal value of 1.6 Ω keeps the brake chopper current within safe limits. One analog output with 8-bit resolution can send process feedback signals to loads with an impedance as low as 500 Ω. Two digital output channels provide basic status or frequency information to supervisory controls.
A thermal relay setting of 157 A protects the inverter against sustained overloads by triggering an external contactor when the motor current exceeds this threshold. Each digital input presents an impedance of 4 kΩ and tolerates up to 28 V DC, providing suitable logic connectivity for monitoring tasks. Each digital output can sink or source up to 40 mA, allowing status signals to be transmitted without placing an excessive load on connected control equipment. For flow or level meters that rely on pulse counting, the terminal marked PULSE OUT can switch at frequencies up to 32 kHz. This switching rate supports accurate totalization at high rotational speeds. The available analog, digital, and pulse channels allow the drive to exchange process data with automated pumping controls and other supervisory devices.
