Product Description:
The FC-202N315T4134F4192 is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. It is engineered to manage the speed of centrifugal pumps, aerators, and blowers used in water and wastewater facilities, allowing the system to match motor output to real-time flow or pressure requirements. By delivering controlled acceleration, deceleration, and constant-torque operation, the drive helps reduce mechanical stress and limit energy consumption in continuous-duty liquid-handling processes.
The inverter supplies up to 315 kW of motor power and accepts line voltages between 380–480 VAC from a three-phase power supply, allowing direct connection to typical industrial mains. A default current ceiling of 110% permits brief overloads so pumps can clear air pockets or overcome static head without tripping. The drive includes 4 built-in PID controllers that can regulate level, differential pressure, or flow without an external PLC. This integrated control capability supports multiple process variables while reducing the amount of separate control equipment required in a pumping system.
Dynamic stopping capability is provided by a braking circuit that can dissipate 26 kW during a 10% duty cycle. Danfoss recommends a brake resistance of 1.7 Ω, while installation values extend from a minimum of 1.2 Ω to a nominal value of 1.8 Ω to accommodate different thermal loads. Brake leads have a cross-sectional area of 2 × 35 mm² for safe current transfer. A thermal relay rated at 124 A monitors the resistor circuit for prolonged overload conditions. If the mains voltage sags, the unit continues operating until the supply falls below the 15% line dropout threshold. The drive then performs a controlled shutdown to protect the motor and connected pump from unstable operation.
