Product Description:
The FC-202N250T7134H1813 is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. It modulates the speed of induction motors in pumping, aeration, and filtration equipment used throughout water and wastewater facilities. By varying the output frequency, the drive allows a control system to match pump flow to process demand, reduce energy consumption, and limit mechanical stress on valves and connected piping. Its chassis mounts directly to a panel without requiring external mounting brackets. The panel-mounted arrangement also keeps the enclosure firmly positioned within industrial control cabinets.
The drive connects to industrial mains operating from 525 to 690 V AC and uses three-phase power, so external phase conversion is unnecessary. At the motor terminals, it can provide a continuous output of 250 kW, which corresponds to 350 hp. The available output supports high-power motors used with pumps and other variable-torque equipment in water-processing systems. For short operating periods, the drive tolerates an overload torque of 110% for 60 seconds. This capability falls within the Normal Overload duty group and permits rapid acceleration or temporary pump unjamming without exceeding the drive’s operating limits. The overload reserve also accommodates brief torque increases that can occur when a pump impeller starts against a filled pipe. Output frequency control allows the motor to accelerate progressively instead of being subjected to an immediate full-speed start.
A built-in RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter reduces conducted electrical noise on the incoming supply lines. The complete drive complies with the compatibility requirements of EN/IEC 61800-3 Categories 1 and 2, supporting operation alongside other industrial electrical equipment. Its radiated and conducted emissions comply with EN 55011 Class A1/B, which can reduce the need for additional shielding in suitable switch-room installations. The integrated filtering helps prevent switching noise from traveling through shared power connections and interfering with nearby control equipment. Dedicated pump-control functions include sleep mode, flow compensation, and soft-fill routines for managing variable-demand water systems. Sleep mode can stop the motor during periods of low demand, while soft filling can limit pressure surges as an empty pipe is brought into service.
