Product Description:
The FC-202N200T4134G9025 is a Danfoss variable-frequency drive offered in the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. It converts fixed-frequency utility power into a regulated output for centrifugal pumps, aerators, and other water-handling machinery. This control allows process systems to match motor speed to real-time demand and reduce energy consumption in municipal or industrial plants.
This model is built for high-power installations, with a continuous output rating of 200 kW when supplied with 380–480 VAC through three-phase power. Excess regenerative energy can be dissipated through the braking circuit, which accepts up to 78 kW at a 40% duty cycle or 16 kW at a 10% duty cycle. The braking circuit reduces the risk of DC-bus overvoltage during rapid deceleration of large pump loads. The drive supports external resistors with a minimum resistance of 2.0 Ω and a nominal resistance of 2.7 Ω, allowing the braking components to be matched to local ventilation constraints. One analog output and two digital outputs transmit status signals to SCADA I/O. The analog channel drives loads up to 500 Ω, while the digital lines source up to 40 mA for field isolation relays.
For command and feedback functions, the internal pulse generator produces a logic-level frequency signal at up to 32 kHz, providing high-resolution speed references to external counters. Analog feedback is transmitted with 8-bit resolution, while discrete monitoring is refreshed with 12-bit precision to balance bandwidth and noise immunity over long cable runs. The front-mounted Graphical LCP displays parameter menus and trend data without requiring a handheld device. This interface provides direct access to operating values and drive settings from the front panel. When dynamic braking cycles occur repeatedly, Danfoss recommends a resistance of 2.9 Ω to maintain thermal margins between the minimum and nominal resistance limits.
