Product Description:
The 135U3275 is a Danfoss variable frequency drive supplied under the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. It modulates the speed of centrifugal pumps, blowers, and other water-handling motors so flow or pressure can be matched to real-time demand without mechanical throttling. By adjusting output frequency and voltage, the unit improves energy efficiency in municipal and industrial fluid systems and reduces hydraulic shock during startup or shutdown.
This model delivers a continuous output current of 1.8 A, indicating the maximum RMS current it can supply to a motor without derating. It accepts a three-phase mains input of 380 to 480 VAC, so it connects directly to common low-voltage distribution networks. The inverter has a nominal power rating of 0.55 kW, which corresponds to 0.75 HP. An enclosure rating of IP55 protects the internal electronics against limited dust ingress and low-pressure water jets, allowing installation in pump rooms where washdown or airborne moisture is present. The protected enclosure also reduces direct exposure to contaminants commonly found near water-handling equipment.
The chassis weighs 7.96 kg, so panel builders must provide adequate support brackets but can still mount the unit without lifting equipment. A depth of 177 mm helps minimize cabinet space requirements while maintaining clearance for cable entries and the MCB-107 24 V backup option. Internal switching elements dissipate about 42 W as heat at full load; this value can be used to size enclosure ventilation and keep the heat sink temperature within operating limits. The power section uses three-phase power, enabling balanced current draw and smaller conductor cross sections than comparable single-phase drives. An integrated RFI Class A1/B filter assists with electromagnetic compatibility requirements in typical water utility environments.
