Product Description:
The 134H8743 is an AC variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. It is intended for centrifugal pumps, blowers, and similar water-handling equipment where modulating motor speed improves process stability and reduces energy consumption. Installed between the three-phase mains supply and an induction motor, the controller provides closed-loop flow or pressure control without relying on mechanical throttling. Its variable-speed operation allows pump output to follow actual system demand rather than maintaining continuous full-speed operation.
The inverter supplies up to 5.5 kW of continuous output, which corresponds to 7.5 HP at the motor shaft. It accepts utility power from 380–480 VAC through a three-phase power supply, allowing direct connection to standard industrial switchgear within that voltage range. The drive is supplied without a brake chopper, so applications that require rapid deceleration must use another method to manage regenerated energy. This arrangement avoids dissipating braking energy through an internal resistor and helps limit additional heat inside the drive enclosure. The drive logic, power modules, and main control relay are associated with Series Identifier 202. The product belongs to the VLT AQUA Drive group for water and wastewater applications.
The enclosure has an ingress protection rating of IP55 / Type 12, providing protection against dust, water jets, and common industrial contaminants. Local parameter entry, status viewing, and trend monitoring are handled through a detachable graphical local control panel supplied with the Standard Language Pack. Wiring passes through standard cable entries, allowing power and control conductors to be routed into the enclosure through conventional cable glands. The unit is supplied with no mains option, so any required external mains equipment must be selected separately for the installation. A conformal coating protects the coated PCB from humidity and airborne contaminants that could affect the control electronics. The drive does not include additional A, B, C0, C1, or D option modules, and it has no Adaptation B modification. These omissions leave the available expansion positions open for system components selected according to the application requirements.
