The 134F4424 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss within the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. Designed for municipal and industrial water treatment systems, the unit adjusts the speed of centrifugal pumps and blowers to match changing process demand, which can reduce mechanical wear and power consumption. Its control features are tailored to fluid-handling applications found in filtration, distribution, and irrigation installations. The drive can regulate motor speed as flow or pressure requirements change, allowing connected equipment to operate without continuously running at full output.
Input flexibility is provided by a rated mains range of 380–480 VAC, allowing operation on common low-voltage industrial grids. The power stage accepts three-phase power, so no phase conversion hardware is required. For outdoor washdown areas, the die-cast enclosure carries an IP66 / NEMA 4X rating, sealing the electronics against high-pressure water jets and corrosive splashes. Internal boards have a protective PCB coating that slows moisture intrusion and supports operation in humid pump rooms. An integrated RFI filter attenuates conducted emissions, helping the installation meet electromagnetic compatibility limits without an additional external filter. The drive is supplied without a brake chopper, which is suitable for pump duties that do not require frequent dynamic stopping.
Network supervision is handled through the optional EtherNet/IP MCA 121 module, enabling real-time feedback to SCADA hosts over standard industrial Ethernet. Local configuration is performed with the graphical local control panel, which presents parameter settings and trend data in plain text on a backlit display. For service isolation, a factory-installed mains disconnect and fuse assembly allows the drive to be locked out and its fuses to be exchanged without a separate cabinet switch. This arrangement places the primary isolation components at the drive and reduces the need for additional external hardware. Cable routing is simplified by standard cable entries molded into the baseplate, providing organized access for incoming power, motor, and control wiring. The drive is supplied without supplementary mechanical adaptation, so its base enclosure retains the standard physical configuration.
