134F4424 is VLT AQUA series AC drive. As the series name implies, it is designed and optimized for applications involving water management. Since such applications are likely to have large amounts of water in the operating environment, it is necessary that the drive enclosure provide adequate protection from it. For this reason, Danfoss has developed this drive with an IP66/NEMA 4X housing. This type of housing does not only protect from dust and other solids, it provides robust protection from water, even that which may be directed at the drive from high-pressure jets. However, it is important to note that the drive won’t be protected in case of immersion in water.
