Product Description:
The 131H2378 is a variable-frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series. It is intended to regulate centrifugal pump and fan motors in water and wastewater systems. By adjusting motor speed to meet real-time flow or pressure requirements, the drive can reduce unnecessary energy consumption while maintaining stable process conditions. Its control functions suit applications such as municipal pumping stations, water treatment equipment, circulation systems, and industrial process-water installations.
The drive provides a continuous output of 90 kW, which is mechanically equivalent to 125 HP. This capacity allows it to operate high-capacity pumps and fans without external step-up gearboxes. The power section accepts a nominal line voltage of 380–480 VAC with three-phase power, allowing direct connection to common industrial electrical systems. An IP20 chassis enclosure protects users from contact with live components and prevents large debris from entering the unit. Because this enclosure is intended for installation inside a ventilated panel, sufficient cabinet airflow must be maintained around the drive. Standard cable entries are provided through Adaptation A to support organized routing of incoming power, motor, and control wiring. The open chassis design allows ambient air to carry heat away from the semiconductor components during operation.
Network communication is provided by the PROFIBUS DP MCA 101 interface, which allows the drive to exchange commands, operating data, and diagnostic information with a compatible automation controller. Radio-frequency emissions are reduced by an RFI Class A1/B (C1) filter, supporting installation where conducted electrical noise must be controlled. A coated printed circuit board protects electronic traces from moisture and airborne chemicals commonly encountered in water-processing facilities. Local setup and monitoring are performed through the graphical local control panel, which presents operating values and parameter menus in a readable format. The Standard Language Pack supplies the available interface text for local operation. Operators can use the panel to review drive status, adjust control parameters, and inspect active warnings without requiring a separate display device.
