Product Description:
The 131G2612 is an AC variable-frequency drive intended for pump and water-handling duties within the VLT FC 202 AQUA Drives series produced by Danfoss. It converts fixed-frequency utility power into a variable-frequency output that regulates centrifugal pump speed according to process demand. The adjustable output can also control compatible positive-displacement pumps used in municipal and industrial water systems. This speed control allows flow and pressure to be adjusted without relying entirely on mechanical throttling devices, which can reduce unnecessary energy consumption during periods of lower demand.
Continuous motor capacity is rated at 2.2 kW, which corresponds to 3.0 HP when used with a compatible standard-efficiency motor. The inverter receives input from a three-phase power network, providing the supply arrangement commonly used for industrial motor loads. An integrated brake chopper manages regenerated energy during rapid deceleration, helping control the DC bus voltage as the connected motor slows. The housing has an IP21 / Type 1 rating, which protects internal components against contact with fingers, solid objects larger than 12.5 mm, and vertically falling water drops. This enclosure is intended for clean indoor electrical areas where excessive dust, moisture, and direct water exposure are not expected. External disconnecting equipment can be installed as required by the surrounding electrical system.
Field interaction is handled through a graphical local control panel that plugs into the front fascia for parameter editing, trend monitoring, and alarm readout. The graphical display presents operating data in a readable format and provides direct access to drive settings without requiring a separate computer interface. Wiring can be routed through standard cable entries, allowing power and control conductors to enter the enclosure through the intended openings. The assembly uses an uncoated printed circuit board, making the drive best suited to dry electrical rooms with controlled airborne contamination. Conducted electrical emissions are reduced by the factory-installed RFI filter, which helps limit radio-frequency interference transmitted through connected power lines. The standard language pack provides multilingual control-panel menus for operators working with the drive in different supported languages.
