Product Description:
The 176F7305 is an adjustable micro drive from Danfoss that is produced with a power rating of 2 HP and for 3 x 230 V systems. It takes rated input voltages between 200 - 240 V and Its tolerable imbalance of supply is rated as ±2%. The input power requirement of the unit is equivalent to the 2 HP of the motor rating and the maximum short circuit withstanding rating is 5 kA.
The 176F7305 drive has an output current rating of 7A continuously and its intermittent rating is 10.50 A. Its output frequency range is adjustable between 0.1 Hz to 400 Hz and it offers 0.1 to 600 sec of ramping times. The drive’s starting torque is 150% for one minute and 200% for five seconds, while its overload torque value is rated at 150% as well for one minute and its acceleration torque is maintained at 100% of nominal motor torque. It features 6 configurable digital inputs of 24.0 VDC logic and possess a Bussman 25 A fuse for protection at the input. This 176F7 drive supports a photocoupler output that is rated at 48 VDC with 50 mA of maximum load and its built-in +10 VDC supply at 10 mA is available for reference devices.
The 176F7305 drive includes RS-485 communication using RJ11 connector and its carrier frequency can be adjusted between 5 kHz to 15 kHz that depends on motor cable length. Its supports motor cable length up to 100 meters at 240 V and it is enclosed in IP20 housing for indoor use. This 176F7 drive provides 10 bits of resolution for accurate control signals and its relay contacts provides 120 VAC at 5 A or 240 VAC at 2.5 A of switching.
Frequently Asked Questions about 176F7305:
Q: How does the adjustable carrier frequency in the 176F7305 help motor performance?
A: It minimizes audible motor noise and reduces harmonic interference. Adjusting between 5 kHz and 15 kHz optimizes efficiency based on motor cable length.
Q: Why is a Bussman 25 A fuse included in the 176F7305 drive?
A: It protects the drive against overcurrent at the input. This enhances operational safety by isolating the unit during fault conditions.
Q: How do the six programmable digital inputs improve flexibility in the 176F7305 drive?
A: They allow custom control logic integration for various applications. This means users can adapt the drive’s behavior to specific process needs.
Q: Why is a +10 VDC reference supply provided in the 176F7305?
A: It enables easy connection of external potentiometers or sensors. This simplifies speed reference settings without requiring additional power supplies.
Q: What is the role of the photocoupler output in this drive?
A: It provides safe signal isolation between control and power circuits. This ensures reliable communication with external monitoring systems.
