The VLT 8102 Frequency Converter is designed to provide a reliable efficient solution for controlling the speed and performance of motors. The VLT 8102 frequency converter operates within a wide voltage range and offers an output voltage of 0 – 100 % of the supply voltage. It also accommodates a frequency range from 0 to 120 Hz. The device supports a high true power factor of 0.90 at rated load and has a displacement factor near unity (greater than 0.98) that ensures efficient energy consumption. The frequency converter features an allowable on/off switching sequence of approximately 1 time per 2 minutes and a maximum short circuit current of 100 kA for strong protection against electrical faults. It is also equipped with eight programmable digital inputs that operate with a voltage level of 0 - 24 V DC with positive logic signals and an input resistance of around 2 kΩ. The scanning time per input is approximately 3 ms that ensures fast response times. The control card of this converter operates on a 24 V DC supply with a maximum load of 200 mA and a designated ground connection for added safety.
