The 178B3775 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. It manages fan and pump motors in building systems so that airflow, water circulation, and compressor speed can follow the load requested by the automation system. The drive performs this task by adjusting the output frequency and voltage supplied to the connected motor, allowing continuous speed control. Reducing motor speed during periods of lower demand can decrease energy consumption while maintaining the required system output.
The drive accepts three-phase power from 380–460 VAC, making it suitable for common industrial and commercial power systems. Within this input range, it supports a motor rating of 22 kW (30 HP), which is appropriate for medium-sized air-handling and chilled-water equipment. The Compact NEMA 1 enclosure is intended for installation in clean, dry indoor electrical rooms where additional protection from water and heavy dust is unnecessary.
