Product Description:

The Danfoss 178B2005 is a VLT 6000 HVAC drive, made to provide efficient, reliable, and flexible motor control in automation systems.

The drive uses a three-phase supply voltage of 380/400/415/440/460 V AC with a tolerance of +/- 10%. It operates at a 48 to 62 Hz range at +10% variation and is highly flexible and meets international power standards. The drive allows an output frequency range of 0-1000 Hz to accommodate flexibility in common HVAC applications as well as customized variable-speed applications. With a nominal real power factor of 0.90 at optimum load, the drive's efficiency is one of its most important features. It attains a displacement power factor above 0.98, guaranteeing peak performance and extremely economical energy use. The drive will allow a motor cable length of up to 150 m shielded and 300 m unshielded to meet installation needs, and is usable in compact and extended installations. The 178B2005 is set to perform well within ambient temperatures of 0 °C and 45 °C without performance degradation.

It is also able to work under temperatures ranging between -10 °C to 0 °C, although with lower efficiency. It is resistant to a high relative humidity of up to 95% non-condensing and up to 3300 feet above sea level, which makes it durable in the harsh environment. There are choices for chassis, NEMA 1, and NEMA 12 enclosures, and they may be tailored to precise installation and environmental requirements. The drive has two programmable relay outputs, and it is easily integrated into a system and flexible in control. It also features a built-in RFI filter to EN 55011-1A/1B unit rating in the range of up to 7.5 kW, with expected resultant reliable electromagnetic compatibility.
