Product Description:
The 175Z7476 is an AC variable-frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. Designed for building automation, the drive regulates the speed of three-phase induction motors used in supply fans, return fans, and chilled-water pumps. By controlling motor frequency instead of relying on dampers or valves, it can reduce electrical consumption and mechanical wear while maintaining airflow or pressure set points. The device integrates with standard motor control centers and building management systems, providing scalable speed regulation without requiring PLC reprogramming.
Medium-sized plant fans or pumps can be driven directly because the power stage is rated at 37 kW/50 HP. The drive accepts a mains supply of 380–460 VAC, allowing connection to 400 V or 460 V feeders without a transformer. Its compact IP54 enclosure limits dust ingress and protects internal components from water splashes. A front-mounted local control panel (LCP) provides direct access to operating parameters, status information, and the remote menu structure. Because the unit has no integrated RFI filter, an external electromagnetic compatibility filter may be required when sensitive signal cables share conduits with motor wiring. The application is configured for Graham sequences. Fieldbus and application cards are not installed, leaving the intelligent terminals available on the main control card.
The drive uses uncoated printed circuit boards, so the installation site should maintain normal indoor humidity and avoid corrosive airborne chemicals. The inverter is supplied as a standard unit within the VLT 6000 lineup and uses the regular control architecture for this model range. Its HVAC control profile provides acceleration and deceleration behavior suited to centrifugal fans and pumps. Available expansion slots can accommodate compatible fieldbus adapters or input and output extensions if additional connectivity is required. The enclosure should be installed with adequate clearance for ventilation, cable routing, and access to the front controls.
