Product Description:
The 175Z7464 is an HVAC drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. As a dedicated speed controller, it modulates induction motors that power supply and return fans, pumps, or compressors in commercial climate-control systems. By varying the frequency and voltage at the motor terminals, it allows building management systems to match actual process demand, lowering electrical consumption and minimizing mechanical cycling compared with fixed-speed starters. The drive can receive control signals from a building automation system to regulate connected equipment as heating, cooling, and ventilation requirements change throughout the day.
The drive delivers a continuous output of 4.0 kW, equivalent to 5.0 HP, giving it enough capacity for midrange air-handling modules. Input power must remain within the 200–240 VAC range; compatibility with low-voltage three-phase mains eliminates the need for an autotransformer in suitable installations. A compact IP54 housing protects the electronics against dust and splashing water when the unit is wall-mounted in a mechanical room. Users interact with the drive through a detachable Local Control Panel that provides status indicators and parameter keys. The inverter is supplied as a standard unit, with the baseline power section, gate drivers, and thermal management used for this series.
The unit is configured for the Graham application profile, which supports its intended HVAC control functions. It is supplied without an RFI filter, so external electromagnetic compatibility measures may be necessary when sensitive instrumentation is installed nearby. The printed circuit boards have no conformal coating, making the drive more appropriate for clean, controlled HVAC enclosures than for corrosive or persistently humid areas. Communication cards are not installed, leaving no active fieldbus options; speed references and operating commands must therefore be provided through the analog terminals or the Local Control Panel. Installation planning should account for enclosure ventilation, cable separation, and grounding practices to maintain dependable motor control and limit electrical interference within the surrounding equipment.
