The 175Z7440 is an HVAC-focused variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. It regulates the speed of centrifugal fans, pumps, and other induction motors used in commercial building systems. By responding to commands from a building automation controller, the drive can adjust airflow or water flow as operating demand changes. This variable-speed operation can reduce unnecessary energy use across air-handling equipment and chilled-water loops while providing controlled acceleration and deceleration for connected motors.
The model provides a continuous mechanical output of 4.0 kW, equivalent to 5.0 HP, and operates from a three-phase mains supply of 380–460 VAC. Its compact IP54 enclosure protects internal components against dust and splashing water, allowing wall mounting in suitable electrical or mechanical rooms without a separate cabinet.
