The 175Z7362 variable frequency drive is produced by Danfoss for the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. It is designed to vary the speed of induction motors that move air or water in industrial automation and building management systems. By modulating output frequency and voltage, the drive allows fans, pumps, and compressors to follow real-time load requirements, improving energy use and extending mechanical life. Its integration into control panels provides a compact solution for centralized or distributed HVAC control loops. The drive can regulate motor speed in response to pressure, temperature, or flow signals received from the connected control system.
The drive accepts a three-phase input range of 200–240 VAC, matching low-voltage plant feeders without additional transformers. The inverter delivers up to 15 kW (20 HP) of continuous mechanical power, covering medium-sized air handlers and chilled-water pumps. The Compact NEMA 1 enclosure permits installation in protected electrical rooms while allowing front access to wiring through integral knockouts. Local setup and manual override are handled by the detachable LCP, which provides on-site parameter entry and status readouts. The internal electronics use a standard unit configuration without application-specific circuit boards. This arrangement supports direct operation from common low-voltage supplies and provides local access to operating data.
The drive is supplied without a filter; therefore, external electromagnetic interference mitigation may be needed when an installation requires stricter radio-frequency emission limits. The Graham functional profile supplies default parameter tables tailored to the intended HVAC duty cycle.
