Product Description:
The 175Z7359 adjustable-frequency drive is manufactured by Danfoss within the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. This compact controller converts constant-frequency mains power into a variable-frequency output that allows automated systems to regulate the speed of fans, pumps, and compressors. In industrial and commercial automation, the drive responds to building management signals so airflow, water flow, or static pressure remains at the requested setpoint while reducing electrical consumption and mechanical stress. Its variable-speed operation also helps avoid the energy losses associated with mechanical throttling methods, such as dampers and control valves.
The power section accepts an input of 200–240 VAC, making the unit compatible with low-voltage distribution commonly found in mechanical rooms. It can deliver up to 5.5 kW / 7.5 HP to a connected induction motor, providing adequate capacity for midrange air-handling equipment. The housing has a Compact NEMA 1 rating for indoor installation in areas protected from significant dust, moisture, and direct contact with electrical components. Parameter entry and local commands are handled through an included LCP keypad, allowing settings and operating values to be accessed directly from the drive. The unit is supplied with no EMC filter, so an external RFI filter is required when the installation must meet applicable conducted-emission limits.
The drive contains uncoated printed circuit assemblies, so it is intended for clean, dry operating environments without corrosive vapor or excessive airborne contamination. It uses the standard unit configuration, with the baseline input, output, and protective functions provided for this VLT 6000 model. The unit has no fieldbus option, which means speed references, start commands, and fault signals are managed through analog inputs, digital terminals, and relay outputs. The Graham application macro provides parameter groups suited to typical ventilation duties without requiring additional option cards or software packages. These control connections allow the drive to receive external process commands and report operating status to a compatible building management or automation system.
