Product Description:
The 175Z7060 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss within the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. It modulates the speed of induction motors used in air handlers, pumps, and chillers, allowing building systems to maintain operating setpoints while reducing unnecessary energy consumption. The drive serves as an interface between a building management system and the connected load. It converts fixed-frequency mains power into a regulated output that adjusts motor speed according to system demand.
The drive accepts a three-phase supply ranging from 380–460 VAC, allowing connection to common commercial and industrial power systems. Its continuous output capacity reaches 45 kW/60 HP, which supports medium-size fan, pump, and chiller motors without an external soft starter. The compact IP54 enclosure protects internal components against limited dust ingress and splashing water, making the unit suitable for wall mounting in appropriate mechanical rooms. Electromagnetic suppression is provided by a Class A1 and B filter, which limits conducted interference from the drive. Local operation is available through the included LCP (Local Control Panel), providing front-panel access to parameters, status information, and manual run commands. Remote commands can be supplied by a compatible building management or automation system through the available control connections.
The drive includes no integrated application or fieldbus options, so network adapters such as BACnet or LonWorks must be installed externally when those communication methods are required. Its electronics use a standard unit configuration intended for normal HVAC motor-control functions. The unit has uncoated circuit boards because moisture-resistant protective varnish is not applied to the electronic assemblies. Installation should therefore avoid corrosive atmospheres, persistent condensation, and locations where chemical vapors could reach the internal components. Adequate mounting clearance and ventilation should be maintained so heat can dissipate during continuous operation.
