Product Description:
The 175Z7058 is an AC variable frequency drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. The device converts fixed three-phase mains power into a variable output that allows facility controllers to regulate centrifugal fans, pumps, and compressors. By adjusting motor frequency rather than relying on throttling dampers, it supports energy-efficient airflow and water circulation across large building zones while maintaining intended comfort levels. Supplied as a self-contained drive, it can be mounted close to the load and can handle start, stop, and overload protection functions without external contactors. This arrangement also reduces the amount of separate control equipment required near the connected motor.
The drive accepts a supply of 380–460 VAC, a range aligned with common industrial power systems. It produces up to 30 kW or 40 HP of continuous mechanical output, providing sufficient capacity for medium-sized air-handling units and comparable HVAC equipment. Its compact IP54 housing protects internal components against dust and splashing water, so wall or skid installations inside dry plant rooms do not require an additional cabinet. Conducted emissions are limited by an integrated Class A1 and Class B filter, helping the drive operate near sensitive building automation wiring without exceeding applicable EMC limits. Local adjustments are available through an LCP (Local Control Panel) mounted on the front door. The keypad displays operating information such as motor speed, current, and alarm codes, allowing settings and equipment status to be reviewed directly at the drive.
The drive uses uncoated circuit boards, making it suitable for dry indoor locations where corrosive moisture and chemical vapors are not expected. Its control functions are configured for HVAC duty, including airflow regulation, PID control, and motor-protection curves intended for fan and pump applications. The drive is supplied as a standard unit with the essential control features needed for standalone operation. Communication slots can accept dedicated fieldbus or application modules when network integration or additional control functions are required. Without an installed communication module, the unit can receive commands through its standard control connections and local operator panel. The enclosure supports installation near HVAC machinery while allowing convenient access to the display, control terminals, and internal components.
