175Z7034 is a VLT 6000 series AC drive. This type of drive is also known as a frequency converter or variable frequency drive. This is because the frequency at the output of the unit is variable, and it is this variation that is used for motor speed control. This drive includes electronic circuits for overload protection of the motor. Furthermore, integrated overtemperature protection is also supported. This features is enabled via temperature monitoring of the heat sink on the unit. The converter shuts off if the heat sink temperature reaches the threshold of 90 ⁰C. Short-circuit protection is available on motor terminals designed W, V and U. Earth fault protection is also available on these motor terminals. The converter is also designed to shut off in the event of undervoltage or overvoltage conditions on the intermediate circuit.
The converter shuts off if the motor phase is absent. In case of a mains fault, the converter goes through a controlled deceleration. Input rating of the 175Z7034 converter is 380 to 460 Volts and the peak current input is 72 Amps. The rated current output is 73 Amps and the nominal output is 52.5 kVA.
