Product Description:
The 175Z7029 is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss for the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. Designed as the motor-control core in air-handling units, chillers, and pump skids, it varies motor speed so airflow or fluid flow follows demand precisely. Within a building automation system, the drive receives run commands and returns operating status signals that allow the controls to balance temperature, pressure, and energy consumption. Its mechanical dimensions, mounting holes, and terminal locations match other VLT 6000 frames, supporting consistent spacing and wiring arrangements within control cabinets.
The electrical section accepts input voltages from 380–460 VAC, allowing direct connection to typical low-voltage distribution systems used in larger HVAC plants. At full load, the inverter provides a mechanical output rating of 11 kW (15 HP), making it suitable for medium-sized supply fans, return fans, or pumps. A compact IP20 enclosure provides basic protection against finger contact while keeping the overall depth short enough for installation behind panel doors. Operators interact with the drive through an integrated local control panel (LCP) that provides start, stop, and parameter keys on the front cover. Conducted emissions are limited by the built-in Class A1 and Class B radio-frequency interference filter, reducing the need for an external emissions filter in compatible commercial installations.
The drive is supplied in a standard configuration, so its power devices, heat sink, and control board follow the baseline VLT 6000 design. Intended for HVAC applications, its control functions include proportional-integral loops for pumps and variable-air-volume dampers. The unit has a lack of conformal coating, so it should be installed away from corrosive vapors and excessive humidity that could affect the internal electronics. It is supplied with no application or fieldbus options, and blank plates cover both corresponding interface locations. The integrated controls still support routine speed regulation, process feedback, and communication with a building management system through the drive’s standard connections.
