Product Description:
The 175Z7026 belongs to the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series manufactured by Danfoss. It is an AC variable-frequency drive intended for fan and pump regulation in commercial and industrial air-handling systems. By modulating motor speed instead of relying on mechanical dampers, the unit reduces energy consumption while maintaining precise airflow and pressure setpoints required in modern building automation. Its variable-speed operation allows connected equipment to respond to changing demand rather than running continuously at full speed.
This drive accepts a three-phase supply ranging from 380–460 VAC, aligning with standard 400 V distribution networks found in plant rooms. At the motor terminals, it can deliver continuous power of 4.0 kW, which corresponds to 5.0 HP for installations that use imperial units. The electronics and power stage are housed in a compact IP20 enclosure, providing finger-safe protection when the unit is mounted inside a switchboard. Conducted emissions are attenuated by the integrated Class A1 and B filter, which supports compliance with industrial electromagnetic compatibility limits. An included local control panel (LCP) provides front-mounted access for setup, status monitoring, and manual operation. The model is supplied without fieldbus or application option cards, so it relies on hardwired inputs and outputs for remote start, stop, and speed reference signals. This arrangement supports direct integration with relays, switches, sensors, and analog control signals commonly used in building automation systems.
Designed expressly for HVAC service, the drive is supplied as a standard unit without special marine or clean-room adaptations. It has uncoated circuit boards, making the unit suitable for dry, temperature-controlled electrical rooms where airborne contaminants and moisture are minimal. Because no extra option cards are installed, panel depth and wiring complexity remain low, simplifying installation in existing starter or contactor cubicles that require variable-speed control. Adequate enclosure protection and clean operating conditions help shield the internal electronics from dust, condensation, and other contaminants. The compact housing also allows the drive to fit into switchboards where available mounting space is limited.
