Product Description:

The 175Z7010 Frequency Converter is designed to convert electrical frequency to ensure precise control of motor performance and efficiency. It supports motor operation at different frequencies with a range of programmable settings and advanced torque characteristics. The device is designed for high durability and is ideal for industrial applications.

The Danfoss 175Z7010 frequency converter operates at a rated motor frequency of 50 - 60 Hz and supports ramp up times between 1 to 3600 seconds that allows flexibility in motor speed control. It provides a true power factor of 0.90 at rated load and the displacement power factor is near unity (> 0.98) which enhances overall efficiency. The unit ensures reliable operation under extreme conditions with a maximum short circuit current of 100,000 A. It allows switching on output unlimited times and features a number of switches on supply inputs (L1, L2, L3) with a recommended switching time of approximately 1 time every 2 minutes. The converter’s motor control is further enhanced by its starting torque capability which offers 110% torque for 1 minute and a maximum torque of 160 % for 0.5 seconds in high break away scenarios. The acceleration and overload torques are both set at 100 % and 110 % respectively.

The 175Z7010 frequency converter supports three programmable pulse inputs that allows for high frequency operations. The terminal 17 is rated for a maximum frequency of 5 kHz while terminals 29 and 33 support 20 kHz (PNP open collector) and 65 kHz (Push-pull). The voltage range for inputs is from 0 to 24 V DC (PNP positive logics). The inputs also support a maximum input voltage of 28 V DC with an input resistance of 2 kΩ.

Frequently Asked Questions about 175Z7010:

Q: What protective behavior does the 175Z7010 frequency converter exhibit under severe fault or short circuit conditions?

A: It is built to withstand short circuit currents up to 100,000 A without failure. This robustness ensures reliability in harsh industrial environments with high fault current exposure.

Q: How does the 175Z7010 frequency converter maintain drive control during sudden start-up torque demands?

A: It delivers 110% torque for 1 minute and can reach 160% torque for 0.5 seconds. This makes it highly effective in high break-away or load-heavy acceleration scenarios.

Q: What input switching behavior should be expected when integrating the 175Z7010 converter with upstream supply control?

A: The unit permits switching on the supply inputs approximately once every two minutes. It tolerates unlimited switching on the output side without functional degradation.

Q: How does the Danfoss 175Z7010 frequency converter ensure efficient operation under rated load conditions?

A: It provides a true power factor of 0.90 and maintains a displacement power factor greater than 0.98. This reduces reactive losses and improves system-wide energy performance.

Q: How do the programmable pulse inputs in the 175Z7010 model support high-frequency signal applications?

A: Terminals 29 and 33 support pulse input frequencies up to 20 kHz and 65 kHz respectively. These are compatible with PNP open collector and push-pull logic configurations.
