Product Description:

The 175Z7007 is a frequency converter designed for HVAC applications by Danfoss. In industrial HVAC systems, AC converters are used to control the speed of motors for fans, pumps, and compressors. This allows the control system to precisely adjust airflow, water flow, and cooling output to match the specific demand of the office, warehouse, or factory. The converter carries high currents and voltages, and poses a threat to working personnel. Improper handling, failure to follow necessary precautions, and disregarding national electrical codes can lead to serious injury. Therefore, operators must comply with safety instructions described in the product documentation. The AC mains input must be disconnected before any repair work is performed. Furthermore, staff should wait at least fifteen minutes after disconnecting power to allow voltages on converter components to decay to zero.

The STOP button the converter control panel can’t be used as a safety switch for disconnecting power to the unit. Protective grounding of the converter is the responsibility of the operator. Suitable means must also be used for motor overload protection. Input voltage for the 175Z7007 converter is 380 to 460 Volts. The input current is 7 Amps at 380 Volts and 6.3 Amps at 460 Volts. The converter produces AC output with configurable frequency and amplitude. The range of output voltage and frequency are 0 to Vin and 0 to 1000 Hertz respectively. Nominal power output of the unit is 5.2 kVA. Optimal performance requires ambient temperatures below 45 ⁰C. The IP20 rated converter housing does not provide any protection from liquid ingress. Indoor use is possible if the environment is dust free. Use of a cabinet is necessary for converter mounting in dusty and wet environments.
