The 175Z7006 is an AC drive manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT 6000 HVAC Drives series. It functions as a variable-frequency inverter that allows building automation systems to adjust fan or pump speed according to real-time demand, improving air-handling efficiency and reducing energy consumption in commercial HVAC installations. By modulating motor frequency instead of relying on mechanical throttling, the unit supports precise airflow or fluid-flow regulation within air-conditioning, heating, and ventilation networks. This operating method also reduces unnecessary motor loading when the connected equipment does not require full output.

This model delivers a continuous shaft output of 2.2 kW / 3.0 HP, which is the maximum mechanical power available to the driven motor under nominal conditions. Input conductors can be connected to three-phase mains within the 380–460 VAC range, covering common 400 V and 460 V distribution systems found in mechanical rooms. The housing uses a book-style IP20 enclosure, which provides finger protection around live parts while requiring suitable cabinet airflow for cooling. Conducted emissions are attenuated by an internal Class A1 and Class B filter, helping the drive meet applicable electromagnetic compatibility requirements without a separate line filter. A removable front-mounted interface with an LCP (Local Control Panel) provides start and stop keys, a four-line display, and direct parameter access for local setup. The panel also allows operating values and drive status information to be viewed without connecting a separate programming device.

The inverter is intended specifically for HVAC service and is supplied as a standard unit for common fan and pump control duties. The drive has no protective coating, so it should be installed in a clean, dry electrical cabinet away from corrosive vapors, excessive moisture, and conductive contaminants. It is supplied with no fieldbus option installed, leaving network communication to a compatible external gateway when a building management connection is required. The available expansion space can accommodate an appropriate communication or application module selected for the control system. Standalone operation remains available through local controls or conventional command signals from the building automation equipment.
