Product Description:

The VLT 5042 frequency converter provided by Danfoss must be installed only on a flat plane such that there is proper cooling. This converter's lifespan tends to be affected if no measures are taken for operation beyond the ambient operating temperature range. The product's grounding must be established by its user. The device allows a mechanical brake connection at its output only if the brake control parameters have been set. This unit supports multiple operating voltages. It can be installed near another converter without any space between the two converters. This converter has a dangerous voltage when its connection with the mains is established.

The product-associated cables are fastened with bolts when operating with a 380 V to 500 V voltage. This device features over 3.5 mA of earth leakage current. The unit's analog inputs have a scalable voltage level. Its pulse/encoder inputs have galvanic isolation from its supply voltage. This converter's parameters have been classified into different groups. The product has a low peak current because of its intermediate circuit coils. This device's output current must be higher than or equal to the current of its motor. The unit's nameplate contains its type designation. It must have no active mains and motor connections when high-voltage tests are done on it.

This frequency converter's earth terminal must support reinforced earthing. The product is utilized with three-phase induction motors. This device's option and control cards can be associated with an external 24 VDC supply. The unit may have up to 850 VDC voltage at its terminals. Its control cables have a tightening torque of 4.4 in-lbs. to 5.3 in-lbs.
