Product Description:

The Danfoss 178B3530 Frequency Converter delivers reliable motor control with precise speed and torque regulation. It supports rated frequencies of 50/60 Hz, wide ramp times, strong braking capability and advanced VVCplus technology for consistent performance across various industrial applications.

The 178B3530 frequency converter operates at a rated motor frequency of 50/60 Hz and offers unlimited switching on output for flexible operation. The ramp times of this model are adjustable from 0.05 to 3600 seconds. This provides smooth acceleration and deceleration profiles. The arresting torque at zero speed in closed loop mode reaches 100 % that enables stable holding performance. For 200 – 240 V operation, it supports a cycle time of 120 seconds with continuous braking at full torque and a 40 % duty cycle at 150 – 160 % torque. The frequency converter incorporates the VVCplus control principle which adjusts both motor voltage and frequency dynamically to maintain optimum operation. This system monitors motor current continuously and compensates for variations in motor load and slip through real time adjustment. Such control ensures consistent motor performance under changing load conditions. This model delivers stable and efficient drive control for demanding applications.

The control card of this 178B3530 frequency converter features eight programmable digital inputs on terminals 16, 17, 18, 19, 27, 29, 32 and 33 that accepts 0 – 24 V DC PNP signals. The logical ‘0’ corresponds to less than 5 V DC while logical ‘1’ exceeds 10 V DC. The maximum input voltage of the inputs is 28 V DC with input resistance of 2 kΩ and scanning time per input of 3 milliseconds. These features allow precise input handling and seamless integration with automation systems.
