Product Description:

The 178B2432 is a relatively large VLT automation module invented and constructed by Danfoss for general industrial applications. It features a user-friendly front panel, equipped with a set of function and arrow keys. Like other VLT 5000 modules, this device has the following function keys: display/status, quick menu, menu, change data, cancel, and ok. It also has four arrow keys and four operation keys. The operation keys available in this VLT drive are the start, jog, FWD/REV, and stop/reset. The operation keys can halt or affect the mode of operation of the drive, whereas the function keys provide functionalities to navigate other features of the drive.

Aside from the intuitive keys, the 178B2432 also comes with a small display, perfect for showing immediate values of important operating parameters. Due to its robust chassis, the 178B2432’s front panel has a protection rating of IP 65. The back or rear side of the drive, however, has a limited protection grade of IP 20. Like other VLT modules designed by Danfoss, this unit requires a three-phase voltage supply, ranging from 550 to 600 V. Depending on the system, this module can work in both 50 and 60 hertz systems. Whenever operated at the terminal voltage, this device has an expected input current draw of 5.1 A.

The 178B2432 has a rated power output of 2.2 kilowatts. Like other modules produced by Danfoss under the VLT automation series, the 178B2432 can operate as a frequency converter. By varying the frequency of the motor’s supply, the output delivered by the motor can be safely adjusted. Wake Industrial is one of the leading vendors of this module that offers a product warranty.
