Product Description:

The Danfoss 178B2264 comes in a book-style casing that saves space and has an IP20 classification, which means it can protect against solid objects. This makes it perfect for putting inside electrical cabinets. The 178B2264 also supports DeviceNet fieldbus connectivity, which makes it easy to integrate to current automation systems.

The VVCplus inverter control system is the most sophisticated version of Danfoss's Voltage Vector Control (VVC) technology. It lies at the core of the 178B2264. VVCplus works by constantly checking the current going to the motor and changing the voltage and frequency delivered to the induction motor based on the load at the moment. This makes sure that the engine always runs at its best, even when the load and speed needs alter. The system can accurately manage speed at all ranges, even low speeds. It also quickly responds to control signals with torque and keeps performance at its best during step load changes.

There are also other advantages, such as regulated transitions between normal and current limit operations, strong pull-out torque protection, and the ability to hold maximum torque in closed-loop designs. The control system can also handle changes in motor data very well, and it can manage the torque of both the torque-generating and magnetizing parts of the current very well. The 178B2264 has electronic thermal motor protection that uses current, frequency, and time to guess the motor's temperature. The frequency converter also has innovative features that cut down on electrical interference. To reduce both conducted and airborne emissions, high-frequency leakage currents, which are commonly caused by the capacitive effects of the motor cable and high dV/dt switching, are controlled.
