Product Description:
The 178B0655 is a 3-phase motor control drive from Danfoss that is engineered for precise regulation in heavy duty systems. Its output voltage is adjustable from zero to 100% of input supply and its rated motor voltage matches the supply class of 380 to 500 V at 50/60 Hz. This drive supports ramp adjustments between 0.05 - 3600 sec of time and it offers up to 96% efficiency.
The 178B0655 drive withstands a maximum short circuit rating of 100 kA and its true power factor is 0.90 at rated load, while is varying power factor exceeds 0.98. It allows approximately one switch operation on the mains input every two minutes and delivers start torque at 160% of rated motor torque for one minute. The unit’s braking cycle is 600 sec with 40% continuous duty at 100% torque and 10% at overload torque. It provides eight 0 to 24 V DC programmable digital inputs and its logic low is defined below 5 V, while logic high is above 10 V. The inputs have a scan time of 3 ms and a resistance of 2 kOhms. Its 2 configurable analog voltage inputs accept up to 10 V with 10 kOhm impedance and its one analog current input handles 0 or 4 to ±20 milliamperes with 200 Ohm impedance.
The 178B0655 drive handles 250 V AC at its relay terminals, with a load capacity of 2 A on its normal open (NO) and normal close (NC) points, while it also supports 50 V DC at 1 A, with 50 W load rating. It comes equipped with thermal protection, earth fault monitoring, motor phase loss detection and DC bus supervision for reliable operations. The unit’s control signal resolution is 10-bit, with maximum error of 1%.
