The Danfoss VLT 5000 frequency converter 175Z2997 is rated for three phase mains supply at 380 to 500 volts AC and its nominal power rating is 6 kW. Its torque capacity reaches 160% of rated torque for one minute and its starting torque capability is 180% for half a second, while its arresting torque is 100% at zero speed in closed loop operation.
The 175Z2997 drive features a frequency range of 0.5 to 132 hertz in standard mode and its extended settings allow operations up to 1000 hertz. Its ramp times can be set between 0.05 seconds to one hour. The unit supports switching frequency between 3 kHz to 10 kHz that is adjustable. Its efficiency at rated load is maintained between 96% to 97% and its hardware includes a brake chopper as well. The 175Z2 drive’s standard braking resistors are with 10% or 40% duty cycle ratings and it is equipped with DC link capacitors along with inductors for ripple smoothing. Th drives uses VVC+ control for vector regulation in its control card and its analogue inputs include two voltage channels 0 to 10 V as well as one current channel of 0 or 4 to 20 mA.
The 175Z2997 drive accepts encoder inputs of up to 65 kHz at 0 to 24 V levels and its outputs include two configurable digital or analogue channels 0 to 0.0020 A along with 2 programmable relays rated 50 V DC 1 ampere. Its resolution is 10 bits with a 3 millisecond of scan time and it offers 6 digital inputs for 24 V DC logic. The drive possesses RS485 port that is galvanically isolated for safe communication and it supports Profibus fieldbus option as well.
