Product Description:
The 175Z0719 frequency converter is produced by Danfoss as a member of the VLT 5000 Frequency Converters series. This unit converts fixed line power into a variable output that allows control systems to adjust induction motor speed and torque in continuous-process automation. By modulating the frequency at the motor terminals, the converter maintains flow, pressure, or conveyor velocity without relying on mechanical throttling. This electronic control method also allows the connected equipment to respond to changing process demands while maintaining stable motor operation.
It accepts a 380–500 V three-phase supply, so it connects directly to typical industrial power networks without isolation transformers. In applications that require extended overload capacity, the converter can deliver 1.1 kW while sustaining 110% rated torque. For shorter high-torque demands, the output limit is 0.75 kW at 160% rated torque. A compact IP54 enclosure shields the internal electronics against dust and water jets, allowing installation outside sealed control rooms. Communication with PLCs is available through Profibus DP V0/V1 at 12 Mbaud, enabling cyclic setpoints and diagnostic data to travel over a deterministic fieldbus. The drive uses standard hardware, so it does not require additional heat sinks or special frame modifications for installation. Its enclosure and communication interface support use in process equipment where reliable motor regulation and centralized control are required.
The control platform uses a process control card, which handles analog feedback loops and executes proportional-integral control locally when the host controller is unavailable. Users interact with the converter through a supplied display panel mounted on the front cover, providing direct access to operating values and control settings. The model has no built-in option, keeping its internal wiring straightforward while retaining the standard control functions. Electromagnetic compatibility is improved by an integrated Class A1 and B filter, which attenuates conducted emissions on the input and output leads. This filtering helps limit radio-frequency interference on shared plant power circuits and nearby control wiring. Local feedback processing also allows the drive to respond to process changes without requiring every correction to pass through the external controller.
