Product Description:
The 175Z0569 frequency converter is manufactured by Danfoss as part of the VLT 5000 Frequency Converters series. This unit is an AC drive that modulates the voltage and frequency supplied to three-phase induction motors so production equipment can match speed and torque to process demand. In automated plants, it functions as an energy-saving governor for pumps, fans, and conveyors.
Power electronics inside the drive are arranged on a process control card that allows closed-loop regulation from analog or digital feedback signals. The mains input accepts a 380–500 V three-phase supply, allowing it to connect directly to common industrial switchgear. For applications that require sustained overload, it delivers 7.5 kW when torque is limited to 110%, while heavy-duty cycles can draw 5.5 kW at 160% torque for shorter intervals. Thermal and wiring space requirements are minimized by the slim book-style IP20 enclosure, which is intended for cabinet mounting in conditioned indoor environments. No application option is fitted, leaving all digital inputs, relay outputs, and encoder terminals available for a custom control setup. The cabinet must provide suitable ventilation and protection because the IP20 housing is not intended for exposed installation.
For supervisory networks, the drive incorporates Profibus DP V0/V1 communications at 12 Mbaud, enabling parameter access and diagnostic reporting over a single shielded pair. Conducted emissions toward the mains are controlled by the integrated Class A1 and Class B filter, supporting installation in commercial and light-industrial areas without additional line chokes. The unit uses uncoated circuit boards, so the cabinet must exclude corrosive vapors and excessive airborne contamination. Operators interact with the drive through a front-mounted interface. A supplied display module shows speed, current, and alarm codes in plain text. This interface allows operating conditions and active faults to be reviewed directly at the cabinet without requiring a separate display device.
