Product Description:
The Danfoss 175Z0548 belongs to the VLT 5000 series of frequency converters, which is designed to operate in challenging industrial and processing applications.
Its capability is enhanced by a power class of 004, which makes it optimized to provide dependable motor control when precision, efficiency, and ruggedness are paramount. Being a three-phase motor, it is compatible with mains voltages of 380-500 V AC and 460-500 V AC, providing it with the flexibility to work in multiple regional protocols and setups. This model is packaged in a small book-style form factor that is very space-efficient in rack-mounted applications. Since the enclosure has an IP20 rating, it should only be used in controlled environments without the need for further external protection. At a net weight of 7.6 kg (8.3 kg gross), the drive is light in weight, compared to other drives in its category, making handling and installation relatively easy without interfering with durability. The 175Z0548 is not designed with an integrated display, and it requires remote or external control connections.
It has a Profibus DP option, however, as a fieldbus, and this grants a seamless fit into automation processes as well as enhanced communication facilities with controllers. This is especially favorable when a large-scale industrial network is involved and the centralized monitoring and control are major concerns. On the performance aspect, the VLT 5000 is highly superior in overload torque capacity. The drive has a high boost of up to 160 percent torque during the initial one minute and thus is efficient in situations that require additional power during startup, acceleration, or sudden changes in loads. The high-torque capability makes it perform reliably even in high-duty or variable torque operations common in the process industries.
