Danfoss Automation has been a leading producer of automation products for several decades. The 175Z0294 is a frequency converter designed by the company to carry out accurate torque and speed control in connected motors. This unit is able to supply connected motors with a maximum output current of about 16 amperes and produce a typical shaft output of approximately 4 kilowatts. The rated input voltage requirement for this product falls between 8.3 to 9.1 amperes depending on the mains voltage. There is an internal air blower and heatsink integrated into the enclosure of this product; these two components operate together to keep the temperature levels inside the housing of the converter within a permissible range.

The front panel of this product features a control terminal made up of a display unit and keyboard. In normal operation, up to four different operating variables can be communicated on the display unit of this product continuously; it can also be configured to communicate in French, German, Danish, Spanish, and Italian. Customer-determined configuration parameters can be communicated remotely through the use of the control terminal or serial communication port. Local control is also possible through the use of the keys provided on the control panel.

The 175Z0294 frequency converter has the Automatic Motor Adaptation (AMA) feature. When this function is selected, the frequency drive automatically adjusts its control parameters to the load on the motor. This ensures the optimal use of the motor, increases efficiency level, and reduces the risk of overheating. Operators are also allowed to adapt the operation of this converter to provide reliable motor thermal protection.
