175Z0247 is a Danfoss VLT 5000 frequency converter. It is designed for motor control in industrial processes. VLT 5000 series are available with a range of standard and optional features. Operators can order drives with 200 to 240 Volts, 380 to 500 Volts, 525 to 500 Volts, and 525 to 690 Volts input ratings. The supply frequency range for these drives is 48 to 62 Hertz. The maximum permitted supply voltage imbalance can range from ±1 to ±3%, depending on the input voltage. At rated load, the true power factor for VLT 5000 drives is 0.9. The displacement power factor for these drives is near 1. The input switching frequency must not exceed once every two minutes. Peak short circuit rating for these drives is 100 kA. VLT 5000 drives control motors by varying their output frequency.
The range of output frequencies depends on the exact drive model, and can range from 0 to 132 Hertz to 0 to 100 Hertz. Unlimited switching is supported on the output. The starting toque for almost all models is 160% for 60 seconds or 180% for 0.5 seconds. Each drive is controlled by circuits on a main control card. Terminals for all the digital/analog inputs and outputs are located on the control card. Two analog inputs with 0 to ±10 Volts DC range are available. Eight digital inputs, four pulse/encoder inputs, and two digital/analog outputs are also available. VLT 5000 units support integrated RS-485 communication. This high-speed serial standard allows communication with other serial-enabled units for monitoring and control. The longest allowed length for armored motor cables is 150 meters. The longest allowed length for unarmored motor cables is 300 meters.
