The 175Z0137 is a frequency converter produced by Danfoss for the VLT 5000 Frequency Converters series. It converts fixed-frequency factory mains power into a regulated output that allows pumps, fans, or conveyors to run at the speed demanded by the process. By combining power electronics with a dedicated control section, the unit supplies variable voltage and frequency to standard induction motors. This design allows operators to reduce energy consumption, start loads smoothly, and maintain consistent torque under changing mechanical conditions.
The drive employs a process control card to execute speed and torque commands and accepts a 380–500 V three-phase supply, covering common industrial power systems. A continuous rating of 3.0 kW at 110% torque and a reduced rating of 2.2 kW at 160% torque allow the same chassis to support different overload profiles. The unit has a space-saving Compact IP20 enclosure, so it can be mounted inside a ventilated panel without an additional cover. For conducted emissions, the integrated filter is classified as a Class A1 and Class B filter, supporting compliance with applicable general-purpose and residential EMC limits. The printed circuit boards have uncoated surfaces, which makes the drive suitable for clean-air locations.
