The 175Z0131 is a frequency converter produced by Danfoss within the VLT 5000 Frequency Converters series. It is intended to modulate the speed of three-phase induction motors, allowing plant controllers to match fan, pump, or conveyor output to process demands while maintaining torque at low speeds. By converting a fixed mains frequency into a variable output frequency, the unit supports energy savings and precise flow regulation in industrial automation cells.
This model accepts a three-phase 380–500 V supply, so it can be wired directly to common industrial feeders without step-up or step-down transformers. In applications that permit a 110 percent overload, the converter is rated for 2.2 kW of continuous motor power. Heavy-duty cycles that reach 160 percent torque limit the usable rating to 1.5 kW. A compact IP20 enclosure allows installation inside ventilated control cabinets while guarding against accidental contact with live parts.
