The 175Z0071 is an AC frequency converter manufactured by Danfoss for the VLT 5000 Frequency Converters series. The unit functions as a variable-speed interface between the mains supply and a three-phase induction motor. It gives automation systems closed-loop control over shaft speed and process torque while maintaining wiring and cabinet layouts that are consistent with other VLT hardware. The converter can regulate motor operation in pumps, fans, conveyors, and other machinery that requires adjustable speed. Its control functions allow the connected motor to respond to external process commands without direct operation from the mains supply.
Input power is drawn from a 380-500 V three-phase supply, so the converter can be connected directly to common industrial distribution panels without a transformer. When the application requires 110% overload capability, the drive delivers 7.5 kW of mechanical output. For applications requiring 160% overload capability, the available mechanical output is 5.5 kW to accommodate higher starting torque.
