Product Description:
The 175Z0064 is an AC frequency converter produced by Danfoss in the VLT 5000 Frequency Converters series. The unit modulates three-phase mains power to provide adjustable speed and torque for induction motors used in pumps, conveyors, and general process machinery. When integrated into a control panel, the converter can match motor output to load demand, reduce energy use, and limit mechanical stress during starts and stops in industrial automation. Its mounting dimensions are shared with other drives on the VLT 5000 platform, supporting consistent panel layouts.
The converter operates on a 380–500 V three-phase supply, allowing direct connection to distribution panels in many manufacturing plants. At 110% overload, it delivers 5.5 kW, while operation at 160% overload limits continuous power to 3.7 kW. These ratings support motor selection for constant-torque loads or applications that require short periods of higher torque. A book-style IP20 enclosure keeps cabinet width low and provides basic protection against accidental finger contact when the unit is mounted inside a panel. Electromagnetic interference is reduced by a Class A1 and Class B filter, which attenuates conducted electrical noise. The standard configuration has no built-in application option, so operation relies on the functions available through the converter’s internal controls and connected equipment.
Motor commands are handled by a process control card, giving the drive analog and digital reference channels without additional plug-in modules. Status information and parameters appear on the supplied display, allowing settings to be adjusted directly from the front panel. The converter has no fieldbus option, so control connections rely on hardwired input and output signals or an auxiliary gateway elsewhere in the system. Internal circuitry uses non-coated circuit boards, which require installation in a clean, dry cabinet to limit exposure to moisture, dust, and corrosive airborne contaminants. The IP20 housing is intended for protected indoor panel installation rather than direct exposure to washdown conditions or open industrial environments.
