Product Description:
A three-phase AC drive from the VLT 2000 Frequency Converter series, the Danfoss VLT 2050 is made to function reliably and efficiently in automation uses.
Three 380–460 V AC mains supplies with a tolerance of +/-10 percent at 50/60 Hz are needed for the device. The motor nominal output current is 7.6 A, which guarantees its reliable operation at regular conditions. It is also able to rise to 12.2 A in short term, up to 60 seconds at a time, depending on its requirement. As most shaft outputs power is 3.0 kW, it is ideal to be used in medium-duty motor applications where stable speed and torque control are maintained. The output voltages may be changed between 0 and 100% of the mains voltage, and the drive supports rated motor voltages of 380, 400, 415, 440, and 460 V. Both conventional and unique high-speed motor applications are supported by its adjustable frequency range output, which ranges from 0-120 Hz to 500 Hz.
The size of the motor cross sections supported by the device is 4 mm² and a maximum length of 40 m within standard installations. It supports a maximum cable length of 300 m, making it flexible in installation of any application that is not screened. Housed in an IP20-rated enclosure, the module is suited to be installed in a control cabinet with dust and moisture protection being externally installed. Its efficiency rating is greater than 97% at the rated load, thereby resulting to less energy loss and low operational expenditures. Operational conditions mean the ambient temperature is 0 to +40 °C, and storage and transport may be in the range −25 to +70 °C, so it is durable in handling and installation. The drive has a small form factor with a weight of just 4.2 kg, making it convenient to integrate with existing control systems.
