Product Description:
The NXL00465-C2H1SSS-00AA is an AC variable frequency drive produced by Danfoss as part of the VACON NXP Air Cooled Drives series. It modulates three-phase mains power to regulate induction motor speed and torque in automated conveyors, pumps, and material-handling stations. An internal brake chopper directs regenerated energy to a compatible braking resistor during rapid deceleration. The drive can be operated locally through a seven-segment keypad, while remote commands enter through three digital input channels.
The drive’s enclosure is rated at IP21, so it is protected against finger contact and vertically dripping water when mounted in a clean indoor location. Its overall dimensions are 195 × 519 × 237 mm, providing the measurements needed to plan cabinet space and mounting clearances. Under normal thermal conditions, the high-overload setting allows a continuous current of 38 A, while the low-overload curve permits 46 A for applications that require more current headroom. A 10 percent overload raises the permissible output to 51 A for short intervals, accommodating brief acceleration peaks without causing an immediate trip. The three-phase supply connection is filtered to EMC category C2 for use in compatible industrial electrical environments. Status and fault data can be forwarded through a 50 mA, 48 V open-collector output or an 8 A relay rated for 250 VAC.
For heavier transient loading, the 50 percent overload point reaches 57 A, enabling high-inertia machines to start smoothly before settling to their continuous current draw. With a 380 V mains supply, the inverter can deliver up to 22 kW of motor output power. At 500 V, the maximum motor output increases to 30 kW, allowing the same drive frame to serve motors with different voltage and power requirements. The assembly weighs 18.5 kg, allowing it to be flush-mounted on a suitable cabinet backplate. The integrated brake chopper provides the switching needed to manage regenerative braking energy when the drive is connected to an appropriately rated braking resistor.
